When clients call us

Six situations where OZZEUS typically gets brought in.

Different problems, one common pattern: a decision with consequences too real to defer. If any of these describes your situation, let's talk before you act.

A platform renewal lands in the next 90 days and you need a defensible recommendation, not a vendor pitch.
Multiple vendors with overlapping capabilities and rising annual spend, with no consolidated view of trade-offs.
A new CHRO, CFO, or COO inherited a platform portfolio they didn't choose and needs a 90-day defensible position.
An in-flight program is missing milestones and the executive sponsor needs an independent assessment and a recovery path.
An M&A or reorganization left parallel systems unconsolidated and nobody has a credible plan to merge them.
A vendor implementation is underway and you need senior validation of delivery, timelines, and accountability.

What we do

Four engagements. Sequenced or standalone.

Most engagements begin with a 2–4 week diagnostic (Engagement 01). Subsequent phases scope based on what the diagnostic reveals. We frame the decision tightly enough to act on — and only that work.

01

Strategic Technology Assessment

A focused diagnostic of your current platform footprint, decision triggers, and ROI exposure. Output: a defensible recommendation an executive committee can act on in 30 minutes — not a 100-slide deck.

This is for you if
  • You're staring at a renewal or RFP and need a defensible answer in weeks, not months
  • You inherited a platform footprint and don't trust the inherited assumptions
  • Your executive committee can't agree on what the actual decision is
What you receive
  • One-page executive recommendation
  • 5–8 page diagnostic backing it (ROI model, vendor map, risks)
  • Decision framework for the next 12 months
Timeline
  • Typical duration: 2–4 weeks · adjusted to scope and complexity
Typical investment · USD $3K – $12K
02

Platform & Process Rationalization

Where you have multiple systems doing overlapping work, we map the real footprint, quantify duplication and savings, and design a phased consolidation path with reassessment triggers built in.

This is for you if
  • HR, Finance, or CRM platforms have grown organically and now overlap
  • Vendor cost grew faster than headcount over the last 3 years
  • An M&A or reorg left parallel systems no one has consolidated
What you receive
  • Capability matrix across current platforms
  • Three-year TCO with consolidation savings model
  • Phased consolidation roadmap with reassessment triggers
  • Vendor positioning and negotiation inputs
Timeline
  • Typical duration: 4–8 weeks · adjusted to scope and complexity
Typical investment · USD $6K – $25K
03

Strategic Program Design

For complex programs about to be launched — spanning multiple stakeholders, regions, or vendors. We structure the program before kickoff: governance model, KPI instrumentation, phased roadmap, and vendor positioning. The goal is an executable program with the trade-offs already made, not a slide deck.

This is for you if
  • You're standing up a complex new program and want it structured before kickoff
  • A vendor selection has been made but the program around it hasn't been designed
  • An M&A integration or reorganization requires a structured program design from day one
What you receive
  • Program governance framework (RACI, decision rights, escalation)
  • KPI instrumentation and reporting cadence
  • Phased roadmap with milestones and dependencies
  • Vendor positioning and integration plan
Timeline
  • Typical duration: 6–12 weeks · scoped per engagement
Typical investment · USD $10K – $30K
04

Program Leadership & Oversight

For complex programs already underway that need senior leadership — because the original lead has rolled off, the program has drifted, or the team needs an experienced practitioner to sustain governance and validate vendor delivery. We step in as the senior voice through milestones, not as additional staff.

This is for you if
  • An in-flight program is missing milestones and needs an independent assessment plus recovery path
  • The original program lead has rolled off and there's no internal succession with equivalent seniority
  • A vendor implementation is underway and you need a senior practitioner to challenge timelines and validate delivery
  • A new CHRO, CFO, or COO inherited an in-flight program and wants senior judgment without taking on day-to-day execution
What you receive
  • Weekly executive update authored by the principal advisor
  • Vendor delivery review with milestone-level accountability
  • Governance facilitation through executive checkpoints
  • Recovery plan or course-correction memo, as needed
Timeline
  • Typical duration: 3–6 months · interim/fractional · cadence agreed per engagement
Typical investment · USD $15K – $30K / month
Right fit if
  • · You've inherited a multi-vendor stack and the renewals don't align — the RFP has been "almost ready" for months
  • · A new CHRO, CFO, or COO inherited platforms they didn't choose, and needs a 90-day defensible recommendation
  • · An M&A or reorg left parallel systems and no one has a credible plan to consolidate
  • · A program is in flight and the implementer is missing milestones — you need senior oversight, not more vendors
Engagements are scoped per project. Final scope, timeline, and pricing are agreed in the initial conversation.
Engagement scope

OZZEUS Advisory delivers strategy, design, and senior oversight of complex programs. Each engagement is shaped to the problem — from a 4-week scoped diagnostic to leadership of a 12+ month multi-phase program. Scope, milestones, and investment are defined in the initial conversation.

How we work

Diagnostic first. Always.

Every engagement starts with a tight, scoped diagnostic. If the diagnostic shows we're not the right fit — or the work doesn't need an outside advisor — we say so. That conversation usually saves the client more than the engagement would have cost.

01

Diagnose

2 – 4 weeks. We frame the decision underneath the symptoms. You leave with a defensible answer or a clear next step — even if that step is "do nothing yet."

02

Design & roadmap

4 – 8 weeks. Where the diagnostic surfaces a real program need, we design the structure: governance model, KPI instrumentation, vendor positioning, sequenced milestones.

03

Implementation oversight

Engagement-dependent. Senior oversight while your team or a vendor does the build — governance facilitation, KPI tracking, vendor accountability. We validate delivery; we don't replace the delivery team.

Decision framework

How we frame a platform or program decision.

Diagnostic engagements follow a deliberate sequence. Each step produces an artifact that stands on its own. Each step gates the next.

PEO · HR Tech · Vendor Consolidation

Multi-platform rationalization at a U.S. PEO

Situation

Three concurrent platform renewals across HR, Finance, and IT were generating procurement pressure without a unified view of overlapping capabilities or vendor leverage.

Recommendation

Reframed the renewals as a phased rationalization with explicit reassessment triggers, instead of three isolated vendor negotiations. Installed cross-functional governance so HR, Finance, and IT owned the trade-offs together.

Outcome

$75K+ annual savings via vendor consolidation. +25% delivery efficiency across the program. Governance model adopted as the standard for subsequent renewals.

Compensation · Global Rollout

Global Beqom deployment, six countries

Situation

A global compensation and performance platform was being deployed country-by-country without a unified methodology, causing repeated learning cycles and inconsistent localization quality.

Recommendation

Built a replicable deployment methodology with a country-agnostic core plus disciplined localization gates, sequencing rollouts to compress learning curves.

Outcome

30 – 40% reduction in deployment time and cost per country versus prior rollouts. Methodology adopted as the global standard.

Treasury · Multi-Country Migration

Treasury platform migration across 16 countries

Situation

A treasury platform migration was scoped for ten countries when scope expanded to sixteen mid-program. The original FTE plan and manual testing approach would not scale.

Recommendation

Built quality testing automation (QTP) to replace manual cycles, and consolidated reporting under U.S. GAAP across business units. Re-sequenced the migration so the additional six countries did not derail the original timeline.

Outcome

16-country migration delivered. $50K in savings via QTP automation. FTE consolidation 4 → 1 in four months without service disruption.

CRM · Multi-Industry Rollout

Salesforce CRM across 9+ companies

Situation

Salesforce was being deployed across nine companies in distinct industries — each rollout starting from near-scratch, with no shared template or cross-implementation learning.

Recommendation

Standardized a deployment template covering the 70% common to all industries, while preserving structured configuration paths for the 30% vertical-specific. Captured lessons learned into the template after each rollout.

Outcome

Repeatable deployment framework. Cycle time reduced with each subsequent rollout. Cross-industry pattern library used in subsequent CRM advisory work.

FP&A · Operating Model

FP&A transition across four business units

Situation

An FP&A operating-model transition spanning four business units risked disrupting monthly close cadence and regional finance team stability if not sequenced carefully.

Recommendation

Co-designed a transition plan covering process redesign, tooling alignment, and stakeholder transition — sequenced to protect close cadence in each business unit. Regional finance teams onboarded in waves.

Outcome

Transition delivered on schedule. Monthly close cadence preserved throughout. Operating model adopted across all four business units.

Multi-Platform Rationalization · Methodology

Rationalization analyses across the modern HR stack

Situation

A modern HR technology stack — Eightfold, JDXpert, Talemetry, Redwood Recruiting Booster, Beqom ICM — had grown organically with overlapping capabilities and rising vendor spend, with no consolidated view of trade-offs.

Recommendation

Delivered per-platform analyses, each as a one-page capability matrix, three-year TCO model, DEI&B impact assessment, and phased recommendation. Each analysis enabled an executive committee to act in 30 minutes.

Outcome

$227K – $300K in three-year hard savings unlocked across the analyses, without losing capability.

Why OZZEUS

Six reasons clients hire us — and stay.

Boutique advisory means different things to different firms. Here's what it means at OZZEUS, in concrete terms.

Practitioner inside, not consultant outside

15+ years inside the rooms where these decisions get made — at Citigroup, Beqom, Experian, TriNet, Baxter. We're not theorists with a methodology; we're program leaders who saw what works and what burns money, then built an advisory practice around it.

Trilingual delivery — real US–LATAM bridge

Engagements delivered fluently in English, Spanish, or Portuguese. Useful when your program spans multiple countries, your stakeholders aren't all native English speakers, or your operations cross hemispheres. Translation isn't a workaround — it's part of the practice.

Direct access to senior judgment

The same person who writes the proposal is the person who runs the engagement and signs the deliverable. No junior consultants doing the work and senior partners showing up at milestones. Faster decisions, no context loss, consistent judgment.

Working tools, not library studies

Every deliverable is designed to be used: roadmaps that get executed, decision frameworks that get referenced, governance models that hold under pressure. If a deliverable can't be acted on within 30 days, we haven't done our job.

Defensible recommendations, not impressive ones

The cost of a wrong call falls on you, not on us — so the work has to be defensible to your CFO, your CEO, and your board. We build recommendations that hold up under scrutiny, not ones that look good in a deck.

Close accompaniment through the engagement

Formal milestone reviews, monthly written updates, and an open consultation channel for tactical questions. No "deliver the deck and disappear." The plan becomes a working rhythm with your team.

For 15+ years I led complex technology and operations programs from inside global organizations — Citigroup, Hewlett-Packard, Procter & Gamble, KPMG, Baxter Americas, Experian, Beqom, and TriNet. I sat in the rooms where the wrong decisions cost millions. I watched what happens when an RFP gets approved without proper framing, when a platform consolidation gets sold but never delivered, when a program runs three years over budget because no one structured the governance on day one.

OZZEUS Advisory is the practice I built to do that work from the outside — same rigor, same standards, but as your advisor instead of your employee. The cost of a bad recommendation now falls on you, not on me — so the work has to be defensible, not impressive. Sober, evidence-led, scoped tight. That's the practice.

I work with leaders facing complex decisions about platforms, processes, or programs — across multiple ecosystems, including HR Tech, compensation, finance, treasury, and CRM. The underlying problem is usually the same: a decision that's been framed too loosely to act on. If that's where you are, let's have a conversation.

Engagements run fluently in English, Spanish, and Portuguese — useful when your operations don't fit one timezone or one language.
